The Absent Father Wound - "an ongoing emotional, social, or spiritual deficit ordinarily met in a healthy reltaionship with dad that must now be overcome by other means."
Results of the Absent Father :
Anger and pain - Ephesians 6:4, Colossians 3:21, anger expresses pain.
Extreme behaviors - addictions to suppress pain and numb out.
An inner sense of lostness of incompleteness - everything's a competition, and you struggle with performence. You caompare yourself to others.

Time together
Life skills - how to navigate life?
Direction - dad needs to be the theologian and philosopher. Prepare your child.
Dad's heart - conviction through modeling. "I can't hear you cause your life is screaming at me!"
*7 Proactive Remedies for the Absent Father Wound*
1.) If you are a dad, make sure your son has "the essentials" this is what every son needs to hear:
~I love you, I'm proud of you, You are good at something - find out how God has wired that person.
2.) If you are a dad, it is never too late to close the gap with your son, no matter how old.
3.) If you are a single dad, or a dad separated from your son by divorce, or a dad who has inherited a son through remarriage, seek help and a sound strategy.
4.) If you are a son wounded by dad, chose to touch this wound responsibly by forgiving your dad. Hebrews 12:11
5.) If you are a son wounded by dad, courageously seek reconciliation with your father.
6.) If you are a son wounded by dad, risk asking your father for your father's love and blessing.
7.) If you are a son wounded by dad, reclaim the relationship you missed by being a good dad to your children.
